The IHOPE Journal of Ophthalmology (IHOPEJO) publishes original works and findings that contribute to the advancements in the field of ophthalmology, related to big data analysis, health economics, clinical and public health research in eye health. The journal is owned by the  Indian Health Outcomes, Public Health and Economics Research Centre (IHOPE), India and published by the Scientific Scholar.

Aims & Scope

The IHOPE Journal of Ophthalmology (IHOPEJO) would cover large clinical trials, public health, health economics as envisaged in IHOPE Centre’s mission. It will cover the broad area of Ophthalmology.

Audience

Our audience includes ophthalmologists economists policy makers researcher and public health specialists as well as readers and practitioners from the Strabismus/Pediatric Ophthalmology, Glaucoma, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Retina/Uveitis, Anterior Segment/Cornea, Oculoplastics/Orbit, and Ocular Oncology.

Review Process

IHOPEJO has a highly rigorous peer-review process that makes sure that manuscripts are scientifically accurate, relevant, novel and important. Authors disclose all conflicts, affiliations and financial associations such that the published content is not biased.

Editorial Team

The editorial board comprises a panel of experts from various disciplines of ophthalmology to provide their expertise and guidance in maintaining the clarity of content and focus of the purpose for the journal.

Dr. Raja Narayanan is the Principal Investigator for the IHOPE project. He is a surgeon specialising in Vitreo Retinal Diseases. He is also the Director and Network Head of Clinical Research at LVPEI. With his expertise in clinical research and health economics, he will lead the project team and bring together all other leads into a single resource centre. He has many hours of experience in teaching clinical research at LVPEI and has also designed and published investigator-initiated randomized clinical trials.

The IHOPE Journal of Ophthalmology is committed to meeting and upholding the standards of ethical behavior at all stages of the publication process. Plagiarism Policy

The journal uses plagiarism check software (iThenticate) on the Editor’s and Reviewer’s panel in the manuscript management system which is used to check and control Plagiarism for each article. Any manuscript, that is found to have plagiarism is rejected.

Archival Policy

We use PORTICO for our third-party repository for all articles published with us. All our articles are assigned a DOI number. We are members of https://crossref.org.

Ahead of Print policy

Articles published online under the Ahead of Print model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using the DOI as the reference source. IHOPE Journal of Ophthalmology has a policy that changes will not be made after publication of an article without following accepted procedures for making corrections to the scientific record.
